Ingredients:
- 160 grams of well-grounded breadcrumbs
- 2 packs of vanilla sugar
- 6 teaspoons of cinnamon
- 8 teaspoons of sugar
- 500 milliliter milk
- 1 egg
- 18 milk Brötchen
- Some oil for frying
Directions:
- Put the well-grounded breadcrumbs in a bowl
HINT: Use a shallow bowl to make it easier to reach the breadcrumbs
- Add one of the vanilla sugar packs, the cinnamon and the sugar to the mix. Make sure to mix it all well.
- In a new separate bowl pour the milk and add the egg. Stir vigorously to avid leaving little clumps of egg in the milk. Then place one pack of the vanilla sugar in the milk and stir again.
HINT: Arrange the bowls and a plate in a row. Put the bowl with the breadcrumbs in the middle to avoid a back and forth.
- Take one of the milk Brötchen and dunk it in the milk. Let it soak-in some of the milk and then take it out.
Hint: Don´t wring it out! Just let some of the fluids drip off so it make less of a mess.
- Then place it in the breadcrumbs and swirl it around (You want the whole thing to be covered in a thin layer of breadcrumbs).
- Once the milk Brötchen has been in both bowls, place it on a separate plate for later.
- Repeat this process for all the milk Brötchen.
- Heat up some oil in a pan. Place them in and start frying them (Occasionally turn them over to get all sides). They will turn a gold brown and you can take them out when the outer crust is hard.
Hint: Use your utensil for frying to tap on the crust. If you hear a thud sound and the utensil bounces back a little, you can be sure they´re done.
Tipp: These taste marvelous with some vanilla sauce or a bit of vanilla pudding.
